More Christmas Greet
More Christmas Greetings
Just to add to the greetings already here, I want to add our best wishes to you all for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Speaking of greetings, Dave’s 95 year old father apparently has been following the squabble about Merry Christmas greetings, because he came up with his own on a Christmas card today—Happy Holydays.
We have some acquaintances (a former colleague and his wife) who send us a Christmas letter each year. It is one of those “We are wonderful, our children are wonderful and so accomplished, our grandchildren are even more wonderful and more accomplished, and lo, our great-grandchildren are now here, and we did not realize that wonderfulness and accomplishment could rise to such a magnificent level” letters—or at least that is how I have always read them. Those letters, and the others like them, are exactly how I do not wish to sound, but probably do.
Tomorrow we will be able to share Christmas with some, but not all of our wonderful children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We are thankful for each and every one of them, happy to have the ones here who will be, and miss the ones who can’t.
Many of you will be in a similar situation, so for each of you, whether all your loved ones are with you or not, may your day be a blessed one.
Take care.
