Last Night in Victoria

This is a picture of Ed and Junie and their family when they were all together in Victoria, British Columbia August 5-9, 2005 to celebrate Ed and Junie's 50th wedding anniversary (which was actually June 13th). Left to right are Robert, Daniel, Ed, Junie, Sandy, Mark, Felicia, Linea, Sharon, and Paul. Robert and Linea are Paul and Sharon's children, and Daniel and Felicia are Mark and Sandy's children. Everyone stayed at the same resort hotel in Victoria. The weather cooperated, with sunshine every day and temperatures in the 70's.
Here is another group picture from Ed, with the whole gang dressed for dinner,

Lovely family. Looks as if everyone was having a good time, which is great! Truly remarkable.
Carolyn;
Do you think you could fit all of your family in one room for a picture?
That reminds me of the time Bobby Kennedy was appointed Attorney General. A reporter asked him what it was like being in the Justice Department, and he replied, "It's nice to see so many grown-ups in one room."
(That may have been a joke on a comedy album of the time, but it makes the point).
Not sure we could get them all in one location of any kind, let alone a room. I have issued an invitation (some of them seem to regard it as an ultimatum) to show up for our fiftieth next August. Due to the combined financial exigencies of our family, it will need to be where most of them are, and I don't look for any luxurious stays at resorts--maybe a night in the local Motel Six--but we will see if we can get a group picture then.
At least as one former son-in-law said rather incredulously, as he became more and more nervous at one of our family reunions, that it had been going on for a couple of hours, and no one was fighting yet. Apparently theirs were a bit more animated.
