Family Enscussions

When a comment is posted to one of my blogs which I created, I get an email of. I don't get one for this blog. Does anyone know how I can get an email on each comment?

To the best of my knowledge, only the Blog creator/owner can get the emails of a new post. Carolyn and I tried to figure out a way she could also get them, but it does not seem possible. I guess we could do what Ed did and read the Help, but I am not sure there is a way.

Let me rephrase David's comment. One person can get them. I could be that one, since I have administrative rights, but since he hurried and set up the blog, he gets them. I also have to check the blog to see what is there.

No need to rephrase. I said nothing about Administrative rights--only that the privilege was, to my knowledge, restricted to the creator/owner, which happened to be me. If you want it,you are welcome to it, which probably makes more sense as other than Ed and myself and occasional posts by Jean and her daughters, it had become a Snow family dialog anyway.

OK--I checked Blogger Help, Known Issues, and the Blogger Help Forum, and I could not find any indication that multiple Comment Notification emails are allowed. I added a request for a feature update, but I have no clue if/when it will be read or acted upon.
I am not a programmer, but it appears to me it would be a minor code change to allow multiple email addresses for Comment Notification, which would be nice since there are at least 4 active family Blogs I am tracking.

Thank you for checking. It would be nice.

Given the proportionate number of people in the Snow side, it is not terribly surprising that more comments come from there--I would love to hear more from the others, and have thoroughly enjoyed the comments. Any ideas as to how to get the others to contribute?

No, I don't. To use the old cliche, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.
I did not mean that post to sound like sour grapes. I am thrilled that we have as many different people posting as we do, and I don't care what part of the family they hail from.
When starting something like this, one always hopes for maximum participation, but people have busy lives and other interests. I suppose if the cousins had grown up closer and had more interaction over the years there would be more participation from other branches.
It is what it is, and as I said, I am thankful for and want to encourage everyone that has posted or is considering posting. It is all interesting and enlightening, and, as Betty noted, I learn more about different people everytime they post.

My life goes through cycles. Work is just getting under control after a few busy months, so I hope to post more.

OK--I set up a group mailbox in my Outlook, so when a post comes to me, it will automatically be forwarded to those of you that have expressed an interest in knowing when there are new posts. Now if Ed, and Dave, and Carolyn would do the same I would know when their Blogs had new posts.

I don't get an email when I post something on Enscussions, so you will not be notified when I enter a new post.

I don't use Outlook. The ISP we use does not provide email, so that is why we use GMail. Sorry.

GMail will let you set up a group mail box, but it will not let you auto-forward to that group box. I have put in a suggestion for that feature as an enhancement.
