Paul leaves for Boot Camp

I couldn't find his BEFORE pictures, but for those of you who saw him before, you will find this somewhat different. When Katelynn, age 3, saw him after the change, she said "Who's that"? The person with him is the recruiter.

If all goes well, he will be in Fort Jackson, South Carolina for ten weeks.

Time does fly.

He never had long black curly hair. He had dishwater blonde hair. No contact info. Graduation about August 14-15.

Yes. That is the 18th. Given having to make a choice, if Amy can go to his graduation, that would be more important to both of them.

Well, I hadn't really thought about it, but since you mention it, we might just do that. Since returning home, we have been busy catching up on our sleep, etc. and have been helping in our VBS each day since Monday.

Briefly, we left at 5am on Sunday before last, drove in caravan to 1st Cumberland Presbyterian in downtown Houston, participated in a commissioning service and 27 folks from San Angtonio, Houston and Marshall caravaned in five vehicles to Ocean Spgs. Miss. arriving about 11pm. Up at 5am Monday through Thrurs taking three work crews af teenagers and adults to four homes in the area, doing sheetrock, painting, installing windows, siding, trim boards and other odd tasks including inststalling vanities, cabinets, wringing out electrical systems, etc. The work was tedious, hot and was evidently greatly appreciated by the various home owners, who, for the most part had relatively good houses that had been flooded by the storm surge, but collected little or no insurance because of lack of flood coverage. We lived for a week in the basement of a once-flooded church. It was quite an experience. Carolyn had the job of chief kitchen person and put out some dynamite meals (according to the group members). We drove home Friday, getting back to Marshall about 4pm. Tired.
