Update

I am off the road right now. I have to get a sleep study done for my medical card, that is required for the DOT.
the first one got botched and so is costing me more time off work. One nice thing is I have been able to read all the posts.
Mom left out yesterday for another round on the truck, hopefully by the time she gets back I'll be ready and all certified to go back.

James (Jim) Broadus

My cousin, Jim Broadus, sent this picture of himself, as well as the two of his father below. I believe this picture of Jim was taken in 1988 at the Williamson County Fair, and he appears to be working on a lathe, but I am not sure. Perhaps he will enter a comment and clarify what the action here is.

Jim is the brother to Patricia Broadus Langner. who is pictured elsewhere on this Blog with her grandson. Jim also provided an earlier picture of his grandson seated on a tractor.

Thanks to Jim for the pictures to fill in the gaps in this corner of the family.

Wendell Broadus

The above citation was taken from the records of the Nashville National Cemetery. The picture is of my uncle, Wendell Broadus, brother to my father, and the picture to the right is Wendell receving a medal.
I found on another site (click link on his name in title) that he served on a tank with the 14th Calvary at the Battle of the Bulge, in the St. Vith, Poteau, Manderfeld, Losheim gap area—one of the longest and bloodiest battles of WWII. Some of you war historians may have more details on this very famous battle. Thanks to his son, James Broadus (Jim) for providing the pictures. I am sure he will set me straight on any details I have wrong.
